BeforeBuy helps people discover and share trusted referral programs. During Soft Launch, we collect only the information needed to operate the product—nothing more.
What we collect
Depending on how you use BeforeBuy, we may collect:
- Account details from sign-in (for example Google), such as name and email.
- The public nickname you choose to show with referrals you publish.
- Referral links, notes, and related content you choose to publish.
- Brand requests you submit when a brand isn’t in the catalog yet.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the site working (such as cookies for your session).
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Operate Discover, Publish, and My Referrals.
- Display your published referrals using your chosen public nickname.
- Review brand requests and keep the catalog trustworthy.
- Moderate content and fix problems during Soft Launch.
- Respond when you contact us.
Your referrals
Referral links appear on BeforeBuy only when you choose to publish them. We never publish referral links on your behalf. You can edit or remove your referrals at any time from My Referrals.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show your email or sign-in identity on public pages.
- We do not create BeforeBuy-hosted short links that track you across the web.
- We do not ask for your phone number to publish a referral.
Referral programs are operated by the brands themselves. If someone follows one of your referral links, that brand’s own privacy policy and terms apply.
